A full page is dedicated to each location, so each profile provides information about the place and the people that were associated with it. In addition to the three main authors, several other local historians and authors contributed profiles or material for the book. The book is structured by town. Each town section is preceded by an introduction about the history of the municipality. These town sections are written by town Historical Societies, Town Historians and other area authors.There is at least one photo of each historic place and additional photos in the introductions. The photos are a combination of historic and current photos, taken by various photographers in the WNY area.This is the perfect book to keep with you when traveling throughout the WNY area.
